AdWeek reports on mobile media use in 2009. Mobile web use among teens 13-17 grew 45% since last July and 84% of teens sent text messages in the second quarter of 2009.

Variety’s review of the Cirque du Freak movie presents the film as a good primer for what not to do when adapting a popular teen series. Based on the books by Darren Shan, the movie comes out on October 23 in the U.S.

School Library Journal finds nonfiction titles are gaining popularity among young readers selecting books for the Children’s Choices Booklist.
