The New York Times finds that today’s youth doesn’t connect with Holden Caulfield. YA author John Green has an interesting take on the piece, with lots of comments on his post.

YA author Sarah Ockler writes about grown-up women reading YA lit for Woman Around Town. (via Librarily Blonde)

Awful Library Books, my new favorite blog for some library laughs, features a terribly outdated teen book called How to Deal With Parents and Other Problems from 1959.

This Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince promo features an awesome version of Muggle Quidditch.

Speaking of Harry Potter, there’s this hilarious full-length musical parody on YouTube. Only the first video is currently available, though, as the creators have to re-work the videos because of copyright issues.

YALSA posted its Ultimate YA Bookshelf this week, with 50 books, five magazines and five audiobooks that are must-haves for libraries.

Can’t get enough Twilight memorabilia? Mattel is releasing Bella and Edward as Barbie and Ken in the fall.

This Buffy vs. Edward Cullen video is the funniest thing I’ve seen all week.
