One of the many questions in the Primary Sources: America’s Teachers on America’s Schools report published by Scholastic and the Gates Foundation shows how important school and public libraries are for independent reading. Eighty percent of high schoolers get books from their school libraries and 46% from their public libraries, both higher than from retailers. (via Stephen’s Lighthouse)
